Cecil Crawford O'Gorman (b.1874- d.1943)

He was the grandson of Charles O'Gorman, first British Consulate in Mexico in 1923.  At the end of the 19th century, Cecil O'Gorman went to Mexico on behalf of a British mining company and shortly after his arrival, he married his cousin Encarnación O'Gorman.  They became parents to four children, among them the architect Juan O'Gorman and the historian Edmundo O'Gorman.

He worked in the mining industry at Pachuca and Guanajuato but started painting around the outbreak of the revolution.  He painted portraits of well-known Mexicans, landscapes and murals.  A posthumous exhibition was held at the Palacio de Bellas Artes.
