Colton people, interested in art, have found a delightful exhibit at the Glenwood Mission inn during the week.  The pictures, showing desert scenes, will be shown for several more days, it was announced.

The artist, Arthur Cane, was the son of a British consul to India, and he spent most of his life in that country.  Mr. Cane lived in parts of India never visited by white men before and he painted many scenes from these out-of-the-way places.

Since coming to California, Mr. Cane has found the California desert to be especially inspiring and the majority of pictures hung in the adobe room at the Mission Inn are taken from scenes around Palm Springs. There are a few mission pictures and some showing eucalypti that are also considered among his best. The pictures have been hung in some of the largest exhibits in Southern California and they have scored praise everywhere.
