Denver Laredo Gillen passed away in 1975 in Taxco, Mexico, where he lived with my mother and continued to paint and do free-lance illustration until his death. He was able to realize his ambition of having a one-man show in Mexico City and was represented in many fine galleries in the Southwest. He was an on-going member of the Society of Illustrators in New York as well as having had group and one-man shows in New York and Chicago prior to moving to Mexico from Connecticut in the early 1970s.
