Oscar Frederick Schmidt (1892-1957)
An illustrator, he studied at the Pratt Institute and the Art Students League in New York City with Bridgman.
He went on an extended world tour after his discharge from WWI, and is said to have carved a tombstone for Paul Gauguin's grave.
