Biography Viktor Muller
Städelsches Kunst-Inst. Frankfurt am Main, among others students of Friedrich Maximilian Hessemer, Johann David Passavant and Johann Nepomuk Zwerger. In 1849 he left Germany for the promotion of his coloristic inclinations at the Antwerp Acadé; There he joins forces with other liberal painters and becomes a disciple of Josephus Laurentius Dyckmans. Out of dissatisfaction with, among other things, Belgian history painting, M. goes to Paris with other art students, where in 1851, like Anselm Feuerbach, he becomes a pupil of Thomas Couture.
