Biography   Virginia Sterrett

Born in Chicago, IL in 1901. Sterrett studied briefly at the AIC before moving to southern California in 1923. After settling in Altadena, she soon was active in the local art scene and illustrated several books for Penn Publishing Company before her death of tuberculosis on June 8, 1931. Exh: Little Gallery (Monrovia), 1929; LA Co. Fair, 1929; Painters & Sculptors of LA, 1929; Calif. State Fair, 1930.
