Biography Wedworth Wadsworth
Wedworth Wadsworth was born on June 22, 1846 in Buffalo, New York. His father, James Wadsworth, had been born in the ancestral home in Durham, Connecticut. As a young boy Wedworth spent his summers in Durham with relatives and through this connection developed a lifelong love for the town.
At a young age he developed a passion for art. He became an accomplished artist in Brooklyn, New York, where he became a member of the Salmagundi Club of New York, the New York Water Color Club, the New York Black and White Club, and the Brooklyn Art Club.
Wadsworth was an accomplished author and illustrator as well. He wrote and illustrated Leaves from an Artist's Field Book, illustrated The Song of the Bro
