Carlo Conte was born in Treviso in 1898. Conte died in Pieve di Soligo (Treviso) in 1966. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice for three years, then the Academy of Brera in Milan for another three.
He won numerous awards, among which the prize Principe Umberto, the prize of the Quadrennial in Venice in 1943, the prize Naviglio in 1946, the prize of the National Sculpture in 1958 and Palette Cadorina for painting in 1964.
He exhibited his works in Milan, Venice, Rome, Paris, New York, Sydney, Orleans and Barcelona.
