Christian Georg I Schutz


Teaching at the Frankfurt fa├žade painter Hugo Schlegel, further education with Joseph Ignaz Appiani. At the latest in 1743 again in Frankfurt, S. married 1744 Anna Hochecker. S. receives the Beisassenschutz the city of Frankfurt and founds a Wkst, in which also Franz Hochecker, the younger brother of Anna Maria learns and later collaborates. In 1749 he is occupied at the Brunswicker Hof and paints around 1750 in the castle Wilhelmsthal in Calden near Kassel 15 Supraporten for Landgrave William VIII of Hesse-Kassel, After the formative for his further work journey through the Rhine Valley to Koblenz (1751/52) created landscape paintings, which repeatedly show the two rivers Rhine and Main.
