Gerald Goddard Jackson (1878-1941)

Born at Duddington, Northamptonshire in 1878, son of William Goddard Jackson, a magistrate, and his wife Selina Barbara Maria née Johnson who married at Wytham on the Hill, Lincolnshire in 1864.  In 1871 a 3 year old living at The Manor House, Uppingham Road, Duddington with his parents, 46 year old William, born Wisbech, Cambridgeshire and 38 year old Barbara S M, born Wytham on the Hill, and his eight siblings and they kept six indoor servants.  Still living with his parents at Duddington in 1901, giving no occupation but in 1911 a 32 year old painter artist boarding at Poultry Farm, Berwick, Eastbourne, Sussex, the home of Ebenezer Geall, a farmer.

He exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1907 and 1936 from London, Buckinghamshire and Suffolk.  He married on 20 November 1918, Hon. Hildred Mosley, daughter of Tonman Mosley, 1st and last Baron Anslow (1850-1933), and his wife Lady Hilda Rose Montgomerie (1860-1928).  This marriage was dissolved in 1924 and Hildred died on 1 January 1963.  Gerald Goddard Jackson died in the Stamford, Lincolnshire district in 1941, aged 63.
