Biography
Jan Stanislawski

Jan Stanislawski was a Polish painter and educator.  He was the founder of the Cracow's School of Landscapism, a graphic designer and one of the most vivid people of the Polish artist's society of his times.

Inspired by his teacher, Wojciech Gerson, he started his career from landscape pictures based on real nature studies.  Later, fascinated by Impressionism, Stanislawski focused on light play in his landscapes.  He traveled all over Europe; from the West to Ukraine and created hundreds of small size landscapes painted in open air, mostly undated.
