Lucy Helen Allyne was active/lived in California. Lucy Allyne is known for watercolor landscape painting.
Born in San Francisco, CA on Sept. 24, 1873, Lucy Allyne was a member of a wealthy, pioneer family. She was born in the family mansion at 2609 Gough Street and lived there all her life.
During the 1890s she painted watercolors and was a pupil of Lorenzo P. Latimer whose influence is seen in her work. Many of her turn-of-the-century landscapes are of Marin County.
Unmarried, she died on June 19, 1963. Her estate is now a public park.
