Mary Sheerer

Mary Given Sheerer was active/lived in Louisiana, Ohio.  Mary Sheerer is known for ceramics, still life.

Biography  
Mary Sheerer


In 1894 Mary Given Sheerer was hired to organize the Newcomb College pottery department. She stayed with the school in various positions until 1931.

Sheerer was a member of the New Orleans Art Association, the Cincinnati Womens Art Club, Cincinnati Crafters Club, Cincinnati Museum Association and American Ceramic Society.

Sheerer exhibited with the New Orleans Art Association, the Louisiana Purchase Expo and and the 1915 Pan-Pacific Expo, San Francisco.
