Pricing for Windburg artMollie
Windburg just recently retired and his paintings arent worth that much at the moment. However, if you have an early numbered work, it could be worth a couple hundred bucks. Windburgs are everywhere and since there is not a scarce amount of the works they are not worth a great deal at the moment.
FWIW The red Windberg in the bottom corner is not a signature it's a trademark. Hope this helps...
windberg original oilberyl waugh
I have an oil painting I purchased 17 years ago, could someone please help me with information to have it authenticated. Also, unusually, his signature is in a creamy yellow color, does anyone know of another of his originals with the same color, as I understand they are usually red.
Value of pictureSusan Lomax
My Mom passed away in Oct, 2008 and we have a picture titled Big Tree by Dalhart Windberg. It is 24x36 and dated 1971 and signed in a yellow/gold color in the left corner. The label on the back has oil on canvas ,24x36,private collection. It is a large picture and my mom had it for many years. We are trying to determine a value. It really doesn't appear to be an oil painting but the label on the back of the picture has this identification. I would appreciate any information on this picture.

I have two Dalhart Windberg oil paintings. I am trying to find out if they are originals or reproductions. Natures Inner GlowKevin Reed
Years ago I purchased this print, signed/numbered, for a friend. After a fight, the print was torn to pieces. I have never been able to replace it nor have even been able to find a photo of it. If someone has a photo of this fine print, could you please share it. My family has never seen it and can only wonder why this quest has become an obsession. I have a number of windberg prints, signed & numbered, but none compare to this.
Signature questionJulie Monsalve
I have a large beautiful oil on canvas painting but the signature is in white and not the usual red. I want to know if it is an original Windburg.
I have a similar question about the approximate value of signed/numbered Windberg prints. Has anyone received any suggestions about how/where to get an approximate value.

I recently picked up a painting signed Windberg in the lower right corner. This is signed in brown oil rather than the usual red. I am very curious, as you might assume. It is not typical of the paintings I have found in my research. There are high peaks in the back round and a Church by a lake with a winding road leading to it.
It needs quite a bit of work. There is some paint missing in two areas and someone has stored it next to something that has scratched the back up quite a bit. At first I thought the it was cracking.
Can it be fixed? Is it worth the cost?
I have an original painting be Windberg titled Moonglow singed and dated the year 1970 - but I am of the impression that it was not released until 1971. Does this make it more valuable?
need informationShirley Marie Dowling
Mr. Windberg was commissioned and painted the courthouse in Hallettsville, TX where my parents are from. I have a signed, sealed print. What i want to know is has DW painted any other Texas landmarks. I am specifically looking for the "Old Main" tower of what used to be Southwest Texas University (now Texas State University of San Marcos). If not, do you know of any Texas painter who has done so. Also has he painted anything in the New Braunfels area?
I have a signed and numbered print--A Delightful Retreat. I have had it for over 20 years. It has been a joy to have it in my home. Could you give me an idea of the value? Many thanks.
