H. Winfield Scott
Lisa Scott (10/31/2014)
I would gladly tell you about my grandfather, H. Winfield Scott.

Uncharacteristic H. Winfield Scott paintings
Margeau Steinau (06/24/2008)
I knew H. Winfield Scott as a child and have a portrait of myself that he did when I was 3. I also have 2 landscape paintings he did of North Salem, New York and a very unusual floral still-life of his (also several small water color cowboys...). I tried to email Joseph Alves (below) b/c I would like to know more about this man who was friends with my parents (one of Scottie's benefactors was my Godmother and my parents lived on her property where his studio was when they were first married in 1964). Please feel free to contact me. As ever, Margeau

2 H. Winfield Scott prints
Mary Ellen (02/25/2008)
I have just found 2 H. Winfield Scott prints in my mother's belongings. How would I go about finding out their value. One is 125/300 with the letters (EMS) under his signature, of two cowboys with guns drawn outside a circus. The other is 198/300 also with the letters(EMS) under the signature of a cowboy hiding under a bridge with the boots and gun barrels showing above his head. They both have a a raised letter stamp on the right bottom corner. What can you tell me about the artist or the prints? Thanks in advance. Mary Ellen

Harold Winfield Scott
Joseph Alves (06/17/2002)
I am a former student of Mr. Scott's, and may be the last living one. I would be interested in sharing my recollections with interested parties. Feel free to send me email.
