Bear dogs lithrographBrittaney
Henry Rankin Poore, was a artist in the range of the 1859-1940's. I have an original lithrograph that has his signature and philadelphia in the bottom left hand corner as well. I inherited it from my family. I also could not find much of any information online as well. So I started calling museums. I called everywhere. Finally I reached an amazing gentleman out of alaska who owned a museum. He was so informative. Henry was hired by winchester to do advertisements for the winchester guns and arms. This was one of the pictures he did for advertising the company. It originally started as a oil based painting. If you have that ITS VERY HARD TO TELL START CONTACTING MUSEUMS BEACAUSE THEY ARE RARE. On the other hand the rest are lithrographs which were printed and put up in shops and towns all over to advertise. This peice is originally called "The Winchester Dogs" and ALSO known as "Bear Dogs". The lithrographs are beautiful and a small piece of history. they pend alot on condition for value! But so here is the information everyone wants to know...They go from anywhere between 1,000 to 2,500 pending upon current condition. If you have any other questions regarding anything please feel free to contact me via email regarding "winchester dogs" or "Bear dogs". I have done my research, and I do own one myself please contact. Thank you look forward to your emails. sincerely-Brittaney.

Have four hounds print...Sarah
I've recently inherited the four winchester dog print from my mom. She bought it at an antique mall in Wilson, NC for $70 in the early 90's. I've been trying to find more info on it, and the artist, but not much about him on the web. Anyone have any info? Thanks, Sarah
Found Art Prints On Thin Paper?Sand
Found in a box Many Prints done on what seems to be white transparent paper. All are from the time of early to late 1800's. B Mainly black & gray coloring. No other colors used. Some have the artists name & some do not. I know these are not originals, But I wonder what this style of printing is called? What time period it was used? Is this perhaps the basic format for Mounting Pictures of well known artists? Found among the prints were a local artists sketchings & works. But no name.If anyone has any ideas or if you need additonal information I will gladly supply. Thanks, Sand

I have recently purchased an original lithograph in plain wood frame which is copyrighted by the Winchester Reapeating Arms Co. dated 1907. I would be interested in learning its current value.
