Leon Kroll- ever on the west coast?David Wisdom MD
I have a black and white photo of a painting signed "L. Kroll". My wife posed for this painting when a child @ about the age of 12. This would have been in the Berkeley area roughly around 1953. I can post a copy but wondered if the painting still existed or perhaps was painted over. She thinks it might have been for an upcoming show so it wasn't commissioned and wasn't purchased by her family.
TRYING TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THIS WORK BY LEON KROLL - "THE WILLOWS"
Is anybody familiar with " Reflexions" by Leon Kroll from the art gallery '64 - as shown at the Hall of Education, New Yorks World Fair 1964-5.
Redhaired ModelMary Ann
I have a very nice Kroll painting of a nude woman with what looks like red hair. Give me your email address and I will send you a photo of the painting. Would be great to identify the woman who posed for the painting.

To Whom it May concern:
It was recently brought to my attention by the Northport Art Gallery that I could look up any Artist from the past including their works. I was stunned to find the past artist Leon Kroll. I was told that the existing paintings would be more valuable if they had more information on them. I hope to one day find the paintings that my mom Ruth had modeled for Leon Kroll back in 1930 - 35. She was the nanny for
his children. She had very white skin and red hair, which he admired. So he asked her to pose for him. She was very shy and embarrassed. But, his wife stood by her side during the whole time, to make her be more at ease. My mom has told me many stories that I remember. She was 88 yrs. old 5 years ago when she past away. She always wondered what became of those paintings. I should have investigated them years ago when I was a model. I had married into the Kroll family back in 1976, but divorced 4 yrs. later. Unfortunately, I never got to meet Leon Kroll and his immediate family. I live on Long Island, and will probably be moving soon, since my spouse recently past away and my kids off to college. I'm wishing and hoping that someone out there can help me find the paintings that my mom posed for. Then I can relay all the details to them. Please contact me at the above e-mail address.
Thank you for any help that can be offered.
Blessings, Karen Ingrid Molin
